Hack Ack
Contest Information:
This lighthearted contest is focused on fun and spontaneity. Attendees will
learn of the guidelines the week before the conference. They will then have
until Tuesday evening to create something along the theme. Use of items
prepared prior to the competition is not allowed, unless these items are
available to everyone.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this contest. Teams are equally good as
individuals. Even employees of SumTotal Systems and Platte Canyon may
participate, but they may only do so on an exhibition basis (no awards or
judging for them).
Judging is by audience applause and will occur immediately after all entries are
presented.
Hack Ack presentations will be interspersed with Karaoke performances -- so
showmanship may certainly rank high among the "judges."
How to Enter
Show up! There is no entry procedure. We will simply ask for anyone who wants
to present their Hack-Ack entry to sign up on a notepad at the beginning of the
Tuesday evening social.
Also, it will be up to each participant to arrange for a laptop to demo the
application on. We will have one or two machines if needed, but this should be
arranged ahead of time.
It's all about fun.

The community of developers attracted to this conference is among the most talented and helpful groups I've ever encountered.

I just cannot thank you, your family, and other associates for hosting and managing one of the best conferences I have ever been to. I am so happy I attended. The pre-conference workshops and seminars were extremely beneficial for me.

Gorgeous location!! Not only beautiful, but seemed to be fairly central for the origins of the attendees.

I have only been to one worthwhile conference in the past five years (and I go to 5 to 6 a year as attendee, exhibitor, and speaker only because I have to for our business) and you know which conference that is! All meat, no fluff and smart presenters and attendees. I am telling you, I could be the poster child for your next conference! Our latest project has improved an order of magnitude over what it would have been without the conference.

I just love the diversity of people here. It's amazing how we can all get along! It's not just about learning ToolBook, but also sharing ideas and experiences.
